MES Engineer – Rio de Janeiro

In the context of a global MES (Manufacturing Execution System) template program based on the TrakSYS platform, the MES Engineer will play a critical role in managing a team of internal and external resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuous enhancement of the MES template, including the addition of new features, addressing gaps, implementing innovative use cases, and improving the system from a technical perspective to keep pace with the latest technologies and version upgrades.

The position can be based in Brazil or in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team focused on the enhancement and maintenance of the global MES template.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new features and improvements.
• Conduct gap analysis and address any identified deficiencies within the MES framework.
• Innovate and develop use cases that leverage new technologies and methodologies.
• Ensure system compliance with the latest technological advancements and facilitate version upgrades.
• Provide technical guidance and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate system performance, proposing optimizations as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in MES implementation and management.
• Experience with various MES platforms; familiarity with TrakSYS is a significant plus.
• Proficient in software development, particularly using C#.
• Experienced with SQL
• Microsoft Azure Devops is a plus.
• Experience with integration and business process of SAP modules related to manufacturing processes (PP, QM, WM & PM).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a technical mindset.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and lead resources from different backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
